as LAZZARO, Geraldine Vanspauwen explores the interferences between poetry, songwriting and AMBIENT SOUND, EVOKING AN ETHEREAL YET PHYSICAL WORLD WHERE BEAUTY AND DISTORTION CAN COINCIDE, GUIDED BY A SUBLIMINAL FORCE OF LIFE’S FIRE, SUBTLE WINDS, DREAMS, DESIRE. She is currently performing solo (guitar, piano, voice, tapes, fx) and with TWO OTHER bands, ZEMLYA (drums, voice) & sergeant (guitar, voice). LAZZARO'S FIRST HOME-RECORDED EP, THE INNER LAND IS WIDE AND FREE, WAS RELEASED DIGITALLY AND AS A LIMITED EDITION OF TAPES (2022, BONAMBI RECORDS).‍ Occasionally her compositional work branches out into sound installations, visual work or other types of writing.
